In a post-game interview, the Soaring Falcons’ Head Coach, Nash Racela shared the motivation of being on a losing streak in the tournament’s first round, that served as fueled for the team’s fighting spirit for the second round.
“We learned a lot of things [ and ] moving forward, we just want to have a better performance, in the next couple of games.” Coach Racela said.
The Soaring Falcon’s team captain, Jerom Lastimosa who have made 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists also shared his satisfaction with the team’s consecutive wins on the second round.
“We learned from what we went through in the first round [ and ] we are happy that we are winning.” Lastimosa said.
However, the Falcons still hangs within the race for the Season’s Final Four, needing to surpass the NU Bulldogs once more in order to qualify to the elimination round.
Coach Racela said that he does not want to get ahead of themselves, regardless of their concurrent positive results, and focus more preparing for their upcoming games.
“We are taking it one game at a time and hopefully by doing our part, we would get good results,” Coach Racela exclaimed.
Going onto the Soaring Falcons’ next game, the team will be clashing with the season’s second ranked team, UP Maroons who have won eight straight games in April 21.
